The Divergent series: Allegiant is third of the series featuring a girl who fights against standards and discrimination against systems of societies.

It is remarkable how the Divergent series could evolve to some science fictions standards to fighting political systems.  It exposes the present realities in terms of future scenarios of the "pure" and the "damaged".

But what does the "pure" human represent? And who are the "damaged" ones?  For the wise and discerning audience, these terms in the modern world do not exist at all.  If this were true, then we should be dead serious against further labeling people as rich and poor and powerful and powerless.  We can even remove tags as First and Third World countries.  Much more than removing these tags should be a commitment among countries to start helping one another instead of simply surviving for a something that simply accounts to nothing in the end.

World war Z

World War Z is a story of a man tasked to decipher how he could destroy the zombies who are infecting millions of people in the blink of an eye.

Things as so fast paced; children are exposed to danger and violence.  The script is excellent.  There is no way one man can eradicate the infection, except ... just watch the movie and see.  There's nothing that human beings cannot solve.

Kudos to man's ingenuity!  There's not doubt that there's no problem man cannot solve.  The only challenge is how this can translate in real life.  In as much as man can solve the greatest problems on earth, let's not forget that man himself is also the cause of the problems existing in the world - sin, corruption, sickness, destruction of the environment, moral decay, and poverty - unless he makes a definitive decision to fight against corruption with the power of truth and love.

Resident Evil: Retribution

Resident Evil: Retribution's particular episode is a woman partnering with her nemesis to counteract a computer virus that has gone global.

Of course we would expect that Alice (Milla Jovovich) would again triumph no matter how impossible it may seem.   The traces of apocalyptic film are in here - evil has taken over and it needs even the collaboration of her enemies to counteract the real enemy.

Is there an end to evil?  Is there are definitive and final confrontation between the forces of good and evil?  In this film, we should expect the good to triumph over evil, but how long?  How many episodes would still be produced or are the filmmakers feasting over the unconscious fears of people?

Whatever the answer may be, good has triumphed over evil 2000 years ago.  But the battle still remains in the hearts of each person.  It is up to us to know whose side we are on.

Star Trek is a film about genesis the crew of USS Enterprise.

This film is a fitting beginning to all Star Trek films and shows that we saw and enjoyed. This is a nostalgic film that succeeded in bringing to life something so dear to us in our whole lifetime. Star Trek is something to be proud of by all viewers in all countries!

The soul exudes from the film through its characters; one from a state of alienation to identity and interdependence. This is prelude to a friendship that we believe will last forever. This is simply to say that yes, friendships can withstand the test of time.

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen is a film about a futuristic scenario of robots ready to reclaim the power that they lost to their opponents.

It's action-packed, no more no less. Spectator expectations were met, that's why this futuristic film is an instant hit! Computer animation is seamless; the characters have souls. However, with almost endless action filling up the whole screen, will the audience watch this film again and again, or will they grow tired of watching too much action with not enough depth?

One that has pure intentions wins is the main message of this film be he a robot or a man.

Max Payne

Max Payne is a film about a man whose wife and child were brutally murdered and is passionately hunting for the killers.

Set in a fantasy mode, the presentation of Max Payne becomes interesting, almost resembling a horror film. Thus, its visual effects and digital animation are amazing. The main character is projected as a superhero who is always up and about and jumps immediately after a fall. What results is a film meant to entertain.

There is a penchant for violence in this film. It seeks to inform in a visual way what happens to those who are influenced by drugs. But drug addiction goes beyond imaginations and hallucinations - the dignity of life is compromised, and people are relegated to the level of dust. Never, never give in for a second to things that debase human dignity.

Eagle Eye

Eagle Eye is a film about a young man who is ordered by a mysterious caller to do things beyond his will and he has to free himself from her powerful grasp.

The script is almost perfect and suspense is at a level high! There's a balance between fast and slow paces. The only thing that bothers is the anti-climactic ending.

There must be a moment when science ends and philosophy begins, for human intelligence to admit its limitations and for faith to proceed. The film aptly reflects this, a timely reminder for man to admit his limited state, proclaim his independence from his own creations, and recognize the gift within - his power to choose what is good and follow it.

Babylon A.D.

Babylon A.D. is a futuristic film about a mercenary who is paid to deliver a gifted girl safely from Russia to the U.S.

To create an environment of a world devastated by global warming is the greatest challenge of this movie. It is also its greatest advantage. Other than that, the other film aspects are confusing like the cast, the script, and their roles. The film is relying heavily on Vin Diesel's action stunts, nothing more.

It is unfortunate that the concept of the Messiah has to be fabricated, invented, or humanly designed. It is for this reason that this film should be treated with a grain of salt. The human mind may be rich with creativity, but it should also give due regard to existing religious themes that people hold so dearly. Otherwise, enjoy the movie simply because of its entertainment value.

Death race

Death race is a futuristic film about an innocent man who wants to set things right after he was unjustly put in prison just so that he can participate in a prison-sponsored car race to the death.

The special effects nowadays leave nothing to the imagination, especially the violent scenes. Other than this, the script seems to be compelling enough, motivations are clear, and the cast seemed to put on a good show.

It seems so odd that a correctional facility tasked to administer justice would be the first one to violate it. Such post-structuralist outlook hovers over this film, making imminent the destruction of systems and paradigms. But let's hope this would not apply to man's moral sense, otherwise, we would just be unwisely predicting the death of humankind. For man's free will still enables him to choose what is good, just, and true, eventually, saving other human beings. The assumption of this film regarding mankind's penchant for violence is not true at all.

Meet Dave

Meet Dave is a story of a man and his crew from another galaxy who go to earth to get an orb that is bound to destroy the planet.

The comedic aspect gives life to the script that is so simple and appealing to children. It is also novel to think that a space craft would take the form of a man. In fact, the entire may also be a needed break for Eddie Murphy's acting career.

Meet Dave is truly admirable for teaching values to children - uniqueness, friendship, and a host of other seamlessly integrated in the script. Thus, this film in its simplicity could also be unique and special.

Journey to the center of the earth

Journey to the center of the earth is a film about a man who in discovering the notes of his lost brother makes it to the center of the earth!

First converted to film in 1959, Journey to the center of the earth never fails to amaze the audience. Its simple script is comprehensible to children and the digital animation is excellent. It's a wonderfully entertaining movie for children and adults alike.

Life of adventure still goes on even after the loss of a loved one. Why? Because there will always be others to take care of the ones left behind. And that is what it means to be family.

I am legend

"I am Legend" is a story of a man who searches for the antidote to a virus that has inflicted almost, if not, all of the residents of futuristic New York.

Will Smith is truly the x-factor that contributed to the overhwelming success of this film with his all-natural acting. Also, creating futuristic, barbaric New York is amazing, with streets and buildings corrupted by time. The script is seamless and believable; overall you'll be entertained watching this film.

This film exposes the tremendous contributions of scientific inventions; but they are also potential sources of the death of humankind. Somewhere along the film is the struggle between man's ingenuity and God's power - when will man stop playing the role of God? Eventually, there's a significant part of the film that calls of a subtle resignation to God's will The various symbols effectively represent the role of the Divine in the life of humanity; we just have to "listen".
